My A.G.
My A.G. (Aunt Grace) passed away unexpectedly last week. It’s been tough; emotions going all over the place, memories flooding in, and thoughts of my cousins losing their Mom. No words really make you feel better. Even if you believe they are in a “better place”, you still cry because they’re not here with you on earth.
But then, something clicks and you begin to move forward, laugh at the good times, and begin to lift back up. The birds are still singing, the flowers bloom and you’ve got to go to work. So strange. Part of you feels like life should stop, if only for a moment. Instead, life calls to you to keep moving along.

So that is what I am doing, and I know my Aunt would get mad otherwise. So I’d love to pass along to you simple life wisdom from A.G.
“Love Life.” A.G. never had to say it. It was in her actions. When she laughed, it was a huge booming laugh and so infectious.
When she cooked, and wow could my Italian Aunt cook. You could taste the love in every bite. When I would fly out to Connecticut to visit, she would say, “Ok, Mer, what do you want?” I would of course list at least a dozen items, and wouldn’t you know when I got there she had made every one of them! Life was big, she never held back.
A.G. never sat on the sidelines of life. She was always right there in the center, living it to the fullest. And when she sang, that was when the world would stop…..if only for a moment, to listen to this amazing song bird.
So everyone, learn from A.G. Don’t sit back. If you want to do something, do it all out. Love life. Enjoy all it’s moments. Live big!
Thanks A.G., I love you.
